For some reports My Reports for iTunes allows you to select an area of interest.  This applies to all reports but Music Library and any pie chart-based reports.

For Bar-based reports, such as Summary of iTunes Music Library, follow these steps:

1. Click and hold the starting area of interest on the report chart.
2. Drag the mouse to the end of the area of interest. You will see a
3. highlight being drawn as you do this.
4. Release and the area will be selected, rescaled and the report chart redrawn.

Sample:

For Time Series-based (plot-like) reports, such as Year Released, follow these steps:

1. Click and hold the starting area of interest on the report chart.
2. Drag the mouse to the end of the area of interest. You will see a highlight being drawn as you do this.
3. Release and the area will be selected, rescaled and the report chart redrawn.
